Since I was a little girl, I dreamt of my family. My husband, my kids, my life together with them, it’s all been a dream of mine that I can’t believe I actually get to live everyday. Becoming a Mom has been the most fulfilling title of my life. Somehow even when the kids go to bed, and the exhaustion from being a stay at home Mom hits, all I want to do is look through pictures from the joys of our day together. Photography has always been that for me, capturing life’s greatest joys to look back on and smile about.

I was born and raised in Northern Virginia and moved to Richmond in 2014 as a newlywed with my husband Nayef. In 2019 we welcomed our free spirited daughter Sophia (aka Soso) and in 2021 we welcomed our angel eyes daughter Chloe (aka Coco). I’ve been a stay at home Mom since the day Sophia was born and have enjoyed every meal, playdate, trip to the park, adventure, memory and 6am coffee date with my girls. Before having kids I was a High School and Middle School Art Teacher. I received my BFA in Photography from George Mason University and continued my education to receive my Masters in Art Education. While teaching has always been the core of my being, when I had kids I left the classroom to fully dive into the Mom role, and what a dream role it has been. Recently my husband and I happily decided to build our forever home to raise our girls in, and call Richmond our girls hometown. Exploring the beauty of Richmond has truly been a treasure for my family and I. The back roads, countless parks, character filled neighborhoods and the kindness from the people have captured our hearts to want to raise our girls here long term.
Recently my oldest daughter started a two day preschool program, which in result opened up one of the most rare things a parent could imagine having - time. Before she started I was prepping her about how she was going to go to school without Mommy but I would always be there to drop her off and pick her up and it was just a short break for her to play with her friends to explore and learn. Later that week I was thinking how this short break isn’t just a learning curve for her, but also for me. And then I thought, what is my next title in this next stage of life where my kids start school and I start to actually have time again.
Titles come in phases, and with every title comes a thrill of adventure. In 2006 I was fully consumed in the title of being a High School Graduate. In 2010 I was “Ms A” the Art Teacher. In 2013 I was a Bride. In 2014 I was Mrs. Chahin. In 2015 I was co-owner of a small Business, Think Pink Dream Blue. In 2019 I became Mom. And now, in this magical stage of being a Mom, I’m so excited to add the title of Photographer to capture your memories of all these amazing stages of life.
